Anchovies
since 1984
Pujadó Solano dates back to the 1980s, when Milagros Solano, a native daughter of the Cantabrian town of Santoña, home of the anchovy, from a seafaring family with experience in salting anchovies, decided, with her entrepreneurial spirit and the unconditional support of her husband Alfons Pujadó, to create the company in Barcelona in 1984. It didn’t take long for her dream to flourish and become true.

grows
In 2002, the company expanded its production capacity with another facility in Santoña, thus returning to its roots. With effort and determination, they managed to pass on their know-how to their children, who currently run the company using the same principles that defined them from the start.

Santoña:
quality seal
Santoña is a town with a great fishing tradition, whose port is regarded as the main port in the region for coastal fishing, and one of the most important in the north of the Spanish mainland. Its tradition for making high-quality anchovy fillets, which employs most of the population, has resulted in this town being called the “Cradle of the Anchovy”.
