Many consumers enjoy Santoña anchovies, but few know everything behind it: a history, a deep-rooted tradition, a commitment to sustainability, and above all, people. On this visit we will show you the work of our sobadoras, women who with mastery and precision select, clean and fillet each piece by hand. Thanks to them, that unmistakable texture and flavour that distinguishes our Cantabrian anchovies is achieved.
We want you to understand the effort, care and value behind each Pujadó Solano anchovy fillet. That you know the origin of the raw material, caught in the Cantabrian Sea with sustainable fishing methods certified by the MSC seal, and how with a totally artisanal process we guarantee that the entire process respects the quality, flavor and texture of the anchovies.
What does the experience include?
During the guided tour of our factory in Santoña we will show you our facilities and you will learn how we work, from the arrival of the fish to its final packaging. In addition, you will have the opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of our sobadoras and fillet an anchovy yourself. And finally, you can taste all our specialties and discover first-hand their flavor and quality.
