World Environment Day 2018

Today we join in the celebration of World Environment Day to highlight the importance of our daily actions having an impact on the health of the planet.

Zero Plastic Pollution  is the slogan chosen by the United Nations in 2018 to emphasize the need to reduce the use of plastics.

We must all get involved  and take action to globally address this major environmental challenge, the most important of our time.

The United Nations stresses that to achieve a planet free of plastic pollution, we must completely rethink the approach of large companies to the marketing of plastic products.

I can’t forget a video uploaded by a diver in which, far from being able to film fish and a sea without waste, he literally swims among plastics…

Just as all too often there are news reports of whales with stomachs full of plastic.

Plastic pollution is an environmental challenge and it is estimated that in the next 10-15 years, global plastic production will double.

There are already large supermarket chains that  have completely eliminated bags  for some time now, which is an important step, although not enough to eradicate this major problem.

But what about our daily lives?

We all need to consider doing more for our environment.

We must think about doing much more, time is running out.

For our part as a company, Pujadó Solano has made an international commitment to the  MSC, an international audit that audits and verifies that the fishing process is sustainable  and that its production is also correct and in line with its protection policy…

Is that all? Nope! We’re moving on… organic products, improved production, new, more sustainable formats, recycling, waste control…

We want to protect what we love, our sea, our land.
