This November has been a busy month! We've attended two major fairs, Bio Cultura Madrid and Fòrum Gastronòmic Barcelona. On both occasions, we enjoyed a great gastronomic atmosphere filled with top professionals and quality products.
BioCultura Madrid
From November 7th to 10th, we were at BioCultura Madrid, the most important organic products and responsible consumption fair in Spain.
At the fair, we showcased our range of organic gourmet products. A range of quality products, produced with seasonal and campaign fishing, and using organic ingredients for their preparation such as organic extra virgin olive oil or organic white wine vinegar.
Always committed to sustainability and the environment, it was a real pleasure for us to share space with other exhibitors and to be able to display our most organic range.
Fòrum Gastronòmic Barcelona
This week we have been at Fòrum Gastronòmic Barcelona, an essential event for professionals in the world of gastronomy.
In addition to having the opportunity to exhibit our Cantabrian products, we were able to show all attendees the effort, dedication, and care with which we artisanally work the product. For this, we had the assistance of our expert filleter Lorena Alvarez, who accompanied us these days cleaning authentic Cantabrian anchovies just as we do in our factory in Santoña.
The entire process of filleting anchovies and white anchovies is manual work, following methods and processes that can be classified as ancient. It is a process with a strong artisanal character, in which all operations are performed by hand by "Las Sobadoras de Santoña." Many thanks, Lorena, for bringing your meticulous work to all attendees.
During the fair, we held several tastings thanks to our friend and collaborator, Chef David Codina, who prepared delicious tapas with our products. We also enjoyed some special visits, such as those from Chef Marc Ribas and Chef Albert Adrià, who trusts our white anchovies for his brand "La Cala."
Finally, and on the occasion of the Fòrum Gastronòmic, La Vanguardia spoke with Josep to learn a little more about our history and the artisanal production method of our products. You can read the interview by clicking here
